Previously many assail had happened in Jerusalem’s Old City.  A wave of Palestinian street attacks that broke out in 2015 has killed approximately 270 Palestinians, 40 Israelis, two Jordanians, two Americans, one Sudanese, one Eritrean and a British.

According to Israel reports, among these peoples, nearly 170 were killed while they were carrying out attacks. Whereas some peoples died in protest and clashes and some died due to car ramming, stabbings and shootings. However, these attacks are dropped in recent time but they have not ended yet.

After the 1967 Middle East war Israel has seized East region of Jerusalem, where the holy compound and the Old City are located. Moreover, Israel admits Jerusalem as its capital city, although this move had not got any international recognition. Whereas Palestine wants East Jerusalem as the capital of the new state, they want to set up in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

Israel charges the wave of aggression as a provocation by the Palestinian government. The Palestinian Authority, which exercises limited self-determination in the West Bank, says extreme anxiety over the line of work is the primary driver. United States’ last effort to establish peace amid the Palestinians and the Israelis broke down in 2014.
